Low pressure gas exchange
Piezoresistive low pressure sensors are used to optimize charge exchange valves. The measuring principle and design of these sensors combine a high level of responsiveness and accurate zero.

Applications
As a result of its small size, small dead volume and high natural frequency, this sensor is ideal for measurements in engine induction systems. If the engine design permits, the sensor can be installed in the immediate vicinity of the valves, a position which allows gas exchange characteristics and quality to be determined very accurately.
In principle, it is also possible to use the sensor in other applications. However the medium to be measured should be gaseous and non-corrosive. |
